RGL Builders, Inc.

   RGL Builders, Inc. was formed in early 2005 by Ronnie Long after spending nearly 17 years in the construction business in and around the Charlotte Metro area. Ronnie honed his home building skill with a major national builder and a couple of local and regional builders.  He decided to use that experience to provide exceptional quality Custom Homes.  Homes that are built "Rock Solid" as one of his Sub-contractors told him one day while working in a home they were building. RGL Builders, Inc. builds on their customers lot instead of only certain subdivisions.  This allows their customers a greater degree of flexibility regarding location and allows RGL Builders, Inc. to provide a "True Custom Built" experience. 

   To further our environmental commitment as a Green Builder, RGL Builders, Inc. became an ENERGY STAR® partner as of March 2006.  ENERGY STAR® is an Environmental Protection Agency & Department of Energy program designed to promote energy efficiency in products and buildings through partnerships with government, business and consumers. As of August 2008 we partnered with a third party energy rating company to allow us to build to an even higher standard of Green Building. We are proud to be affiliated with Southern Energy Management. They review and certify each of our new homes for energy efficiency. We can now offer various levels of green building designs and methods and obtain the necessary certifications for our homeowners to receive current tax credits and energy efficient ratings from power companies, insurance companies and some mortgage companies.

   In Late 2007 RGL Builders, Inc. began looking at ways to expand.  They found an excellent opportunity with Rigid Building Systems.  Rigid is a manufacturer of Pre Engineered Metal buildings.  In September 2007 Rigid Building Systems added RGL Builders, Inc. as an Authorized Builder to their builder/dealer network to serve the Charlotte Metro area and surrounding Cabarrus, Iredell, Rowan, Stanly and Union Counties areas.  So began RGL Builders, Inc. endeavors into the commercial building arena. 

  In Mid 2009  the building industry had been in one of the worst slumps in history for over a year and a half.  New home building being down our customers were asking for more attention from our remodeling division and we were being asked about roofing due to several severe hail and wind storms in late and early 2009.  Being a pro-active organization we looked at several options to help our existing customers.  We finally decided to open our own roofing  division.   With the addition of the roofing division, RGL Builders, Inc.  could then take care of all of our residential and commercial customers needs from the ground up and everything in between.
