1 Do I really need a new roof?
Most hail or storm damage goes unnoticed with observation from the ground. You need a trained eye on your roof to inspect closely for damage. Inmost cases, hail or storm damage does not cause your roof to leak immediately. It does however ruin your roof and you may start having leaks within a few months if it is not replaced.
2 My insurance company said I have no hail or storm damage, but my neighbors are getting a new roof. What should I do?
RGL Builders, Inc. is experienced in getting your claim handled properly and if your insurance company stated that you do not have hail or storm damage, we would like to give you a second opinion. After inspecting your roof closely, if we find damage, we'll take care of the process of getting your roof re-inspected and work on your behalf to get your claim accepted. We have been successful in getting many homeowners new roofs after the original insurance adjuster denied the claim. Our attention to detail during inspection often uncovers signs of hail or storm damage that many insurance adjusters erroneously overlook. Often times damage is "accidentally overlooked" if there is not another contractor there to contradict what the adjuster has to say.
3 What would I have to pay for a new roof?
Your insurance company covers the cost of your new roof minus your deductable. With normal deductibles, you often have very little out of pocket expenses at all. Depending on our current volume of work, we may require a small down payment for the materials before the work begins. We will then request the balance of the actual cash value (ACV) received from the insurance company for the work completed. The final balance will be due once all the work has been completed.

5 Will RGL Builders, Inc. Roofing work directly with my insurance company and the adjuster?
Yes. From meeting your insurance adjuster, to overcoming price discrepancies and invoicing the insurance company when your job is complete we are there during the entire process.
6 Do I need to be at home while you install my roof?
No. We simply need access to outside power and water.
7 What should I do before RGL Builders, Inc. Roofing replaces my old roof?
- RGL Builders, Inc. will notify you prior to the roof starting.
- All gates need to be unlocked during installation for access to the entire property.
- If you have a dog, please keep him tied up and away from the house or indoors.
- Children should not play around the exterior of the house during the roof replacement process.
- Please make sure shoes are worn around the house at all times during roof replacement and for 30 days after. We try to make sure that all nails are removed but it is impossible to get 100% of them, especially in grassy areas.
- Please remove all pictures from walls due to slight vibrations that may take place.
- Please have vehicles out of the driveway and garage prior to roof start and until roof completion.
- Please cover or remove all items stored in attics.
8 How long has RGL Builders, Inc. Roofing Services been in business?
RGL Builders, Inc. has been serving our area for since 2005, prior to that we were affiliated with several local, regional, and national builders in our area for more than 18 years, gathering much valuable experience in all areas of the home building business. Our highly qualified personnel have decades of combined experience in the roofing and construction industry.
9 How long will it take to install the roof?
Normally between one and three days, depending on the size of the home and the weather conditions.
10 What happens if it rains while your installing the roof?
We monitor the weather very closely and only remove what we can replace in the same day. We also carry tarps for any unexpected emergencies. When we leave at night your roof is completely watertight.
11 My insurance check has my mortgage company's name on it. Why?
Each mortgage company has its own unique policy regarding insurance payments. A "Joint Check" is not unusual. If you desire, RGL Builders, Inc. can contact your mortgage company on your behalf to insure your payment is promptly processed. It is important to notify your project manager if your mortgage company's name is included on your insurance drafts. They can go over the finer details of how to handle this with you if this situation occurs.
12 Will you use my favorite brand of shingles?
Certainly! Most major shingle manufacturers are very close to one another in price and quality. We have access to all name brands, including TAMKO, ELK, GAF/Timberline, Certainteed, Owens Corning, and Atlas as well as a full line of premium roofing materials including, metal, slate, and engineered products.
13 Does RGL Builders, Inc. Roofing have a good reputation?

14 Will RGL Builders, Inc. Roofing check my existing ventilation for proper circulation?
Yes. Proper attic ventilation is very important in maintaining healthy roof decking. Good ventilation eliminates moisture in your attic that is harmful to your wood decking. Improper ventilation will ruin your roof. We'll notify you if your attic provides inadequate ventilation and add the necessary ventilation if necessary.
15 Does RGL Builders, Inc. Roofing apply underlayment to the wood deck?
Yes. We provide felt underlayment on every job we do. In addition, we apply an extra layer of shingles, or starter course, along the roof edge for extra strength, in accordance with the manufacturers specifications and as an added precaution we always install Ice & Water shields in the valleys.
16 Can RGL Builders, Inc. Roofing show completed jobs locally and with the type of roofing shingles I might want?
Yes, absolutely! Ask your project manager for more details.
17 Will the jobsite be cleaned daily? Will RGL Builders, Inc. Roofing use a magnet for lost nails?
Yes. Each of our jobsites is cleaned during the roofing process and at the end of every work day. We go over your property with a magnetic hand sweeper daily. We work hard to make sure that all nails are removed but it is impossible to get 100% of them especially in grassy areas.
18 Will RGL Builders, Inc. Roofing put down something to catch oil from work trucks in the driveway?
Definitely. Your driveway will be protected.
19 Does RGL Builders, Inc. Roofing provide bathroom facilities for their employees or is the homeowner required to provide them?
Our customers and homeowners never have to provide bathroom facilities.
20 Will the homeowner have to provide power and water?
Yes. Access to an external power outlet and a garden hose connection are needed.
21 Will the work meet local code requirements in my area?
Yes. RGL Builders, Inc. has extensive experience with local building codes. We will not do any work that does not meet code requirements.
22 How much experience do the installation crews have?
All of our crews have years of experience. They have been thoroughly trained to install all products according to the manufacturers specifications.
